Updated: The workshop is limited to 30 participants. Half an hour before the concert it is possible to buy the synth-kit (100 SEK), which also is the ticket to the workshop. A limited number of seats are open for pre-booking. If you want to attend, send email to elsy [at] syntjuntan.se.

 

Stitch together a synth using needle and thread!

Syntjuntan is an ensemble of female composers, musicians and instrument builders. At the Norbergfestival they will give a workshop for uninitiated people that know how to sew, but have a phobia for soldering irons and everybody else that would like to sew their own synthesizer. With just a few simple components, needle and conductive thread you will learn the basics of DIY synth building. A kit with all the necessary stuff that you need to participate will be sold at the workshop. Amplifiers and speakers to play with your creations will be provided.

Before the workshop, Syntjuntan will give a short concert using own home-built textile synthesizers. The concert is open for everyone regardless of workshop participation.
