Library Tapes edge

Experimental / Classical - (SE)

library-tapes2
Library Tapes’ music sits somewhere between classical, ambient and experimental, but is always beautiful, subtle and affecting. Whilst early recordings were based largely on piano and field recordings, 2008’s “A Summer Beneath the Trees”, their second long player for Make Mine Music, saw a move away from the minimal sound of previous releases, with rich layers of strings and a range of other instruments taking a more prominent role.

Primarily the project of Gothenburg resident David Wenngren, Library Tapes has also included contributions from luminaries such as Peter Broderick, Sylvain Chauveau and Danny Norbury.
