Monday, 30 March 2009 20:44 Grime / Jungle / Drum'n'Bass - (NO) - Oslo Break Fest Crew  Dj Tech originally comes from Ålesund, a small town in the northwest of Norway. He has always been into beats and rhythm, but seriously started buying vinyl in the early days of electro hiphop (wrecking old turntables). He was blown away by the early sounds of UK rave/hardcore and started buying 12"s from England and doing a lot of bedroom mixing. When he moved to Oslo in 1994, to get a bigger music scene, he played his first real gig at the legendary JAZID Club (thanks Andrè!). He also got help from Tony (Future Prophecies) and Fresh(N) to get into the Jungle/Drum&Bass scene back in the early days, getting to perform his skills in several clubs in Oslo.
Tech joined up with Oxygen in 2002, providing quality drum'n'bass nights with lots of international guests in Oslo for several years. Joined the "SHIT-CITY-TEKK"-crew (Spiro, Knark Kent & Harold Lloyd) for some time, before teaming up with OBF-crew (Oslo Break Fest). Now playing Dubstep, Grime, Jungle, Drum&Bass, Dub, Reggae and other bass-heavy music in Oslo on a weekly basis. His record collection is HUGE, and as a result of that he can drop any style of these genres with the same ease. His main focus at the moment is Dubstep, but he is known to include some old hardcore and break stuff in his sets. Read More about DJ Tech
