Artists/ Yourhighness
Yourhighness has been in the electronic music scene since the early 90-ties rave days.
The same decade he also started producing electronic music and launched his label Maracas releasing Industrial Techno by himself and fellow producer Archae, as well as Go-Hiyama, Grovskopa and Tuomas Rantanen to name a few. In 2002 he joined EMS and started exploring the field of electro-acoustic music.
With his early roots in choir music (Stockholm Boys Choir and Adolf Fredriks Musikklasser) Yourhighness has developed a rich sound mixing field recordings, strings and analogue synthesizers creating music for: art film, fashion & the Swedish Radio, as well as a whole bunch of remixes and releases on a variety of record labels.
Apart from his solo projects as Yourhighness, he is also one of the founders of the legendary Stockholm club and record label Rollerboys/Rollerboys Recordings. Rollerboys has since 2006 brought some of the most legendary Djs and live acts in the field of electronic music such as: DJ Harvey, Danielle Baldelli, Daniel Wang, Metro Area, Prins Thomas, RUB N'TUG, Lindstrom etc.
Together with his Rollerboys colleague Mans, Yourhighness has travelled the world Dj-ing venues like:
Horse Meat Disco (UK), Cookies, Bar 1000, Pick Nick, Berghein, (Berlin), Apartment (NYC), Milk (Tokyo), Vega & Bakken (DK), Bar Drusbha & Strelka (Russia) Slow Motion (IT), Zukunft, and Zürich etc.
The Vinyl record label Rollerboys Recordings has been putting out electronic disco and old school house with a variety of artists including Yourhighness´s own “Old School House” project Ultracity with fellow producer Elias Raam, and other artists such as: Bogdan Irkük a.k.a. Bulgari, Mark E, Prins Thomas, Fabrizio Mammarella and so on.
For Norberg Yourhighness has gone back to his techno roots and created a live-set with analogue synths such as Roland Sh 101 and drum machines such as Roland 707/727 etc.
His live-appearance will be a great shuffled dance floor set, far away from music trying to explain it´s right to exist! It´s straight on back bone techno!
