Reimer Eising (1982), from Groningen, Netherlands, has been a busy man since his first 7” release on Planet Mu in 2001. With releases on labels such as Neo Ouija, U-cover and his befriended homecity Sending Orbs label. Kettel has been a busy producer since 2001 and he have covered a broad spectra of music styles, everything from the more sad-toned but lighthearted playfulness of his earlier DuB and Kracfive work to the more atmospheric, romantically glowing warm ambient of his Volleyed Iron album on the U-Cover label, or his newest, more uptempo, even occasionally acid-driven music for Sending Orbs.
Kettel's live performances may differ a little from his releases, but also finds melody as the biggest ingredient of his brews. Apart from that, there will be tougher beats, tougher acid and a sample from a (tough) elephant. Kettel has played shows all around the world: at the Monegros Festival in Spain, various shows in Berlin (accompanying Plaid), a tour in Japan and Russia and the USA. They prove Kettel isn't merely working in the head, but also on the dancefloor. Yes!
